Tabby Cat Publishing, LLC is a small, independent children’s book publishing company located in the Washington, DC metro area. Our mission is to publish high-quality and beautifully illustrated children’s books focusing on social-emotional skills and overcoming challenges. Our books help kids learn, grow, and cope with challenges they may face. 

Tabby Cat Publishing also publishes a series of guided journals for kids. These journals feature writing prompts so that kids can learn more about themselves and their world as they practice their writing skills. Tabby Cat Publishing’s Journaling from the Heart series features five guided journals, each focused on a different skill, goal, or challenge that kids experience. 

Tabby Cat Publishing was named for the company owner’s beloved orange tabby cat. An orange tabby is the company’s mascot, and a feline character appears in each published book. Tabby Cat Publishing’s owner is a licensed social worker, and giving back to the community is a cornerstone of our mission. One dollar from every Journaling from the Heart journal sold will be donated to a children’s non-profit organization.
